Blinds & roller shutters for Bantry Bay

Bantry Bay sits further up the same seaboard corridor past Camps Bay, built directly onto the rocks rather than behind a sandy beach — and we service it from Llandudno.

Rocky Atlantic seaboard coastline of granite boulders and clear water, typical of Bantry Bay's rock-front frontage
Rock-front rather than sand — the frontage most Bantry Bay homes look straight onto.

Bantry Bay has almost no beach to speak of — most of its apartments and villas are built directly onto granite rock frontage, with the ocean starting more or less where the garden ends. That means less protective buffer than a beach suburb gets, and hardware that’s exposed to spray on a more constant basis than most of the coast.

What a Bantry Bay property usually needs

  • Marine-spec hardware as the baseline — with the rock line often only metres from the glass, we treat sealed cassettes and powder-coated aluminium as non-negotiable rather than optional here.
  • Full westerly sun with no buffer — there’s rarely a beach or promenade between the house and the horizon, so the afternoon sun hits square-on; view-preserving sunscreen fabric is usually the right call over full blockout.
  • Motorised operation for stacked apartments — a number of Bantry Bay buildings run several storeys of glazing, where reaching a chain or wand isn’t practical and motorised control does the job properly.
  • Wind exposure with nothing to break it — any exterior awning or screen needs a genuine wind rating; there’s no headland or built-up frontage here to soften what comes off the water.

Rock-front glazing with no beach buffer points toward sunscreen roller blinds for daily glare control, venetian blinds for hour-by-hour adjustment on stacked apartment glass, and roller shutters for full heat-kill on the most exposed elevations.
